6th Global Capacity-Building Workshop 2021

Applications are open for the 6th Global Capacity-Building Workshop 2021. This year’s workshop will offer online-based intensive training opportunities to participants, helping them to learn about key aspects and competences of global citizenship as well as to introduce innovative ways of teaching and paradigm shift, which are posed by Covid-19.

In brief, this course provides basic knowledge of Global Citizenship Education (GCED), especially in the context of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Throughout the course, students will be able to acquire the knowledge of GCED in various aspects of global issues and have reflections on the role of education in achieving GCED and SDGs with various learning materials. This prerequisite course is exclusively for applicants of Global Capacity-Building Workshop on GCED 2021.

Meanwhile, the online workshop consist of two phase:

  • Phase I Main Workshop: 9 – 17 September which is for 7 days.
  • Phase II Mentorship (optional): 4 – 15 October which is for 2 weeks.

Benefits

Hence, applicants who successfully completed the workshop will be given a chance for ‘grant’ and ‘mentoring’ opportunities by submitting a project proposal on GCED.

  • Certificate by APCEIU issued upon successful completion
  • Lastly, able to win a mentorship and grant opportunity

Eligibility

  • The workshop is only open to professional educators. APCEIU invites dedicated educators from Official Development Aid (ODA) recipient countries as well as UNESCO member states.
  • Applicants must complete the e-learning course titled “Prerequisite course for Global Capacity-Building Workshop on GCED 2021” on GCED Online Campus.
  • Applicants must have commitment and willing to carry out GCED activities after the workshop
  • Lastly, the alumni of APCEIU’s Global Capacity-Building Workshop on GCED are also eligible to apply for this year’s online workshop.
